The next time you walk through a garden, or hike on a path through native growth, slow down to garden time, and just watch. Here’s a busy scene that I saw this month.
Every time you walk in the garden, there’s a new plant budding, weeds to pull, or something growing or flying that needs to be looked up in the wildflower, butterfly or bird guide.
Sometimes you are observed!
The shrub shown below seemed suddenly to appear this spring above the east garden wall. The flower clusters caught my eye, making lacy shadows on the leaves in the breeze.
Now that I’m at my desk looking at the picture, I, being human, imagine this beetle was entering a maze that leads to the One Perfect Blossom.
It’s true, I can only imagine being in their world.
